ZONTA CLUB OF GREATER RIZAL II:
A Legacy of Leadership and Service
The Zonta Club of Greater Rizal II was established in June 1992 through the leadership of Charter President Nona Ricafort of the Greater Rizal Foundation and Myrna T. Yao, who would become the club’s founding president. They convened a core group of friends and colleagues at the Yao residence in Quezon City, planting the seeds of what would soon become a dynamic and service-driven organization.
From this dedicated group, the Zonta Club of Greater Rizal II was born. On October 9, 1992, during a formal ceremony held at the Edsa Shangri-La Plaza Hotel, Senate President Neptali Gonzales officiated the induction of the club’s first set of directors and officers. This historic event took place during the term of Lt. District Governor Olivia Ferry and Imelda “Dandy” Gomez. The club was officially recognized as Club No. 1395, Area I, District 17 in the Zonta International Roster of Members.
