Typhoon and the resulting flooding has burdened the residence of Marikina. Most community need to be evacuated or worst rescued from flooded homes during the monsoon season. The elderly, women and children of vulnerable community along areas in MARIKINA and nearby villages and other communities are often in need of rescues in time of calamities. The MARIKINA FILIPINO CHINESE FIRE BRIGADE VOLUNTEERS will be our partner in the safe keep and care of the Ondoy boat. This project was presented to the board of directors and officers by VP LYDIA CASTRO and was unanimously approved . The project will be funded by the Club using current club funds. Presented to general membership, approved resolution last Aug. 4, 2020 on signing authority limits. Three hundred fifty food and basic necessity packages worth Php250 were donated to Brgy Bagong Pook Calibuyo,Tanza,Cavite. August 6, 2021. Donation and distribution which took 10 days was spearheaded by member Helen Chan.
A new home for learning and growth. The construction of Guan Ming College is near it’s completion. This 1800 sq meter structure located in Tagaytay Philippines run by FO GUAAN SHAN FOUNDATION, a Buddisth foundation seeking to promote the Dharma through activities that emphasized the promotion of education and culture such as youth summer camps, children’s classes and Dharma lectures. Three million pesos was donated in support of the project by ZCGR2 member Rosario Lim, PP Susan de Jesus and President Zeni Yao. The building is scheduled to be completed this year and will be housing women monks and students with its huge auditorium, sports complex and bigger classrooms.
