In celebration of International Friendship Day, the Zonta Club of Greater Rizal II, under the leadership of President Shirley Licup, proudly joined Zonta International’s worldwide campaign promoting unity, friendship, and the shared commitment of Zontians to building a better world for women and girls. As part of the global observance, Zonta International invited clubs from around the world to submit photographs of their members making the symbolic “heart pose”—a simple yet powerful gesture representing compassion, solidarity, friendship, and the bonds that unite Zontians across cultures and continents.
Answering the call with enthusiasm, the Zonta Club of Greater Rizal II submitted a photograph featuring President Shirley Licup together with Past President Divina Lupe-Lazaro, both proudly making the heart gesture as a symbol of the club’s enduring friendship and commitment to service. The club was honored when its photo was selected for inclusion in Zonta International’s official International Friendship Day YouTube video, joining images from fellow Zonta clubs around the globe in a vibrant celebration of sisterhood and global collaboration.
The inclusion of the club in this international tribute reflects not only its active participation in Zonta’s global initiatives but also its dedication to fostering meaningful relationships that transcend borders. Guided by the principles of friendship, mutual respect, and service, President Shirley Licup continues to inspire members to strengthen the bonds that unite women leaders worldwide. The celebration served as a reminder that while Zontians may come from different countries and cultures, they are united by one mission—to empower women and girls, advocate for equality, and create lasting change through friendship, collaboration, and compassionate service.
