Project Description:
In response to the devastation caused by Typhoon Carina, our club led a coordinated relief operation under the banner of “Zonta Cares.” Contributions from Zonta clubs across the district were pooled to purchase sacks of rice, 100 bottles of liquid chlorine, and 100 units of all-purpose cleaner to support affected families.
On August 5, 2024, these relief goods were distributed to 300 families in four severely affected areas in Quezon City, namely:
-
Rona’s Garden, Loyola
-
Quirino 2-C Barangay Hall
-
Obrero Street, Bagumbayan
-
East Kamias Barangay Hall
This initiative aimed to provide not only food relief but also essential hygiene supplies to help ensure clean water and safe living conditions in the aftermath of the typhoon. The project is a testament to Zonta’s mission of service, solidarity, and swift response in times of crisis.
