The talk aimed to inspire, educate, and empower young women and men as they prepare to enter the workforce. Held in the afternoon of March 19, 2025, the session brought together 600 graduating students to hear from trailblazing women who shared their experiences, challenges, and advice on building a meaningful and resilient career: Ms. Grace Lee – President/CEO of Super People Philippines Ventures Corp., Glimmer Studio PH, and Tasty Stories, Inc. Ms. Mylene Abiva – CEO of Felta Multi-Media Inc., Presidential Appointee and Co-Chairperson of the Design Advisory Council, Department of Trade and Industry (2024–2027) Ms. Mariel Bitanga-Kintanar – Founder of Simply Finance, Director of Business Development and Partnerships at Paywatch, and a Registered Financial Planner The event offered insightful perspectives on leadership, innovation, finance, and entrepreneurship, encouraging young women in particular to aim high, break barriers, and pursue career paths with purpose and confidence. Zonta International Goals Addressed: Goal 1: Empowering women through mentorship and leadership development – By featuring accomplished female speakers, the event promoted leadership and ambition among young women. Goal 2: Economic empowerment through career readiness – The talk equipped graduates with knowledge, inspiration, and actionable guidance as they transition from school to professional life. Goal 3: Elevating the role of women in public life and business – The project underscored Zonta’s advocacy for women’s visibility and leadership in key economic sectors.

Project Title: Women Empowerment Through Career Opportunities: Job Fair Date: March 19, 2025 Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMVenue: University of Perpetual Help System Dalta Campus, Las Piñas CityParticipants: 700 Graduating StudentsVolunteers: 2 Zontians Project Description: In support of Zonta International’s mission to empower women through education and economic opportunities, the club organized a full-day Job Fair for graduating students of the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between education and employment, especially for young women entering the workforce. The club collaborated with Kalibrr Job Search, a leading online recruitment platform, to invite a diverse lineup of 15 participating companies, including major employers such as Security Bank, Accenture, Healthy Options, Sunlife, and LBC. Notably, the fair also featured businesses owned by Zonta members themselves: Air Rich Industrial Systems Inc. (PE Lily Tan) BIG (Sis Betty Aw) Top Best (Dra. Lupe) With over 700 student participants, the Job Fair provided attendees with access to career guidance, job opportunities, and direct employer engagement, fostering confidence and readiness as they take the next step toward economic independence. Zonta International Goals Addressed: Goal 1: Economic empowerment of young women – The job fair helped graduating students, especially women, access meaningful career opportunities. Goal 2: Promoting women in the workforce – By facilitating employment linkages, the project supports women’s participation in the formal economy. Goal 3: Building partnerships for sustainable empowerment – The collaboration with Kalibrr and private companies reflects Zonta’s commitment to cross-sector partnerships that benefit young women.
Greater Rizal II’s Winning Tarpaulin Displayed at the People Power Monument In celebration of International Women’s Month, the Area 1 Tarpaulin Design Contest spotlighted creativity with purpose — and the Zonta Club of Greater Rizal II, under the leadership of President Shirley Licup, emerged as the champion. 📍 The winning tarpaulin, a vibrant tribute to women’s strength and empowerment, was proudly displayed at the People Power Monument from March 8 to 16, 2025 — a symbolic and historic location honoring collective action and freedom. 📸 In a show of unity and pride, Area Director Rowena Plan, President Shirley Licup, fellow Area 1 presidents, and their members gathered for a photo session in front of the monument with the winning design. 🌸 Art with Impact The contest not only highlighted artistic expression but also amplified the voices of women and girls — a true celebration of Zonta’s advocacy through visual storytelling. #WomensMonth2025 #ZontaEmpowers #ZontaGreaterRizalII #TarpaulinDesignChampion #PeoplePowerMonument #InternationalWomensMonth #ZontaArea1 #CelebrateWithPurpose
