The Zonta Club of Greater Rizal II proudly participated in the Final Joint Area 1 and Area 5 Meeting for Biennium 2024–2026, joining fellow Zontians in celebrating two years of exemplary service, leadership, and advocacy. The gathering was honored by the presence of District Governor Winnie Wong, Incoming District Governor Runcha Boribalburil, members of the District Board, and club leaders from across the district. During the meeting, Area 1 Director Rowena Plan and Area 5 Director Susan Lim presented comprehensive reports highlighting the achievements, best practices, and collective accomplishments of their respective areas, showcasing the significant impact of Zonta’s programs in advancing the lives of women and girls.
The occasion also served as a platform to recognize outstanding leadership and excellence among the clubs and their members. The Zonta Club of Greater Rizal II was honored with the prestigious MAGIS+ Excellence Award, while President Shirley Licup received the distinguished Trailblazer / Best President Award in recognition of her visionary leadership, innovative programs, and unwavering dedication throughout the 2024–2026 Biennium. Another proud moment for the club was the recognition of Area Director-Elect Azucena Yao, who received a special citation for her generous personal contribution to the Zonta Foundation for Women, exemplifying the spirit of philanthropy and commitment to Zonta’s global mission.
The celebration concluded on a high note with the much-anticipated “Zonta’s Got Talent” competition, where fellowship and creativity took center stage. Representing the club with energy and enthusiasm, members of the Zonta Club of Greater Rizal II delighted the audience with an entertaining TikTok Dance Medley, earning applause and showcasing the camaraderie, joy, and vibrant spirit that define the organization. More than a celebration of accomplishments, the final Area Meeting reflected the enduring bonds of friendship and the collective commitment of Zontians to continue leading with purpose, empowering women and girls, and creating a better world through service and advocacy.
